We, at White Mountain Technologies, have developed a profound understanding of the University’s scheduling processes over the years. Almost all aspects of a university's scheduling operations can be managed with our UniversiTools Scheduling suite. Specifically, we have the following four scheduling modules to address the different needs:

Implementation
Each module can be licensed and implemented independently, or as part of the suite. A university can therefore select the most pressing scheduling solution to roll out first, and ensure that the right solution is implemented at the right time.

For example, some of our clients reside in areas where the weekends fall on different weekdays than other countries. At this load level, the system was able to produce the optimal schedule within a few minutes. While the majority of our clients don’t have nearly as high a number of classes and students, it’s good to know that we
can deal with those high numbers effectively.

Flexibility
UniversiTools Schedulers provide the user with the flexibility to influence the scheduling algorithms by entering a wide array of parameters. Those parameters are related to classroom capacities & features, course requirements, instructor preferences, student registration, institution calendar, and many other variables to give the user a high degree of flexibility in controlling the outcomes of the scheduling algorithms. While the system does not require that all these parameters be entered every time, it is good to know that those parameters are there to tweak the results to more closely align with the institution’s specific needs.

Manual Override
In situations where the volume of data permutations is high, our clients find it important to use our “manual override” features. Those features are made to help the administrators on campus adjust the schedules manually to support certain situations, such as moving class schedules around or manually positioning a specific class at a certain time, for reasons they alone may know. Our systems allow for these situations and provide an easy-to-use interface to allow users to make their own modifications and gain maximum control over their schedules.
