Skoolee Tools - Scheduling
Generating schedules, or timetables, with Skoolee Tools' Scheduler is quick and easy. What is often laborious, random, and frustrating work is now automated, systematic, and 100% conflict-free. Moreover, Skoolee Tools' Scheduler provides further flexibility by taking into account user-defined parameters, constraints, and preferences.
This allows you to:
- Preset the number of teaching sessions for a teacher, i.e., teacher course load
- Define teacher availability
- Keep certain sessions (hours) of the day free
- Block sessions for certain activities, courses, or teachers
- Manage sessions for part-time teachers
- Schedule composite courses (where two courses are given in the same session to the same class)
- Schedule group-session courses (where many classes get together for the same course session)
- Allocate successive sessions for a specific course
- Specify substitution, coordination, and other types of reservations for the teachers.
Setup
Running the Scheduler requires doing basic set up first:
- Define daily sessions as well as session start time and end time. Note that different school divisions (or cycles) usually have different numbers of daily sessions as well as different session times and lengths
- Define parameters, constraints, and preferences.Note that Skoolee Tools lets you re-use the setup information of previous years, relieving you from having to set it up again.
Scheduling Engine
Once you are done setting up the Scheduler, simply fire up the scheduling engine and let it run. In just a few minutes Skoolee generates 100% conflict-free schedules/timetables.
Manipulation Tool
You get your schedule and you are satisfied with it. But things just came up and require changes in the schedules. You do not have to generate the schedules all over again. With Skoolee Tools' Interchange and Smooth easy-fix tools you can manually manipulate or edit timetable results to respond to your latest needs.
Reports and Print-outs
Print the generated schedule in a variety of formats and layouts. Make use of our Schedule Summaries to produce analytic reports.
